Fundraising for Mercy House
25/06/2010
‘Dress Up to Dance’ was the theme of our dressing up this year.
For a donation of £2 every pupil could dress up for a dance session. Dancing to ‘Just dance’ took place in the hall throughout the day. A variety of pencil tops, bookmarks and magnets were on sale on the day.
Mrs Susan Turner, our South African contact, will also be this years speaker at Speech Day. She will be able to bring us up to date with John's studies this year.
This is what the pupils had to say about the day:
Seung yeon: It was great fun with really cool songs, but it was quite hard to get used to the dancing because you didn’t know what was coming.
Vicente: It was fun. The dog one was my favourite.
Rhea: The dances were really good. The Madagascar one was my favourite.
Ankit: I liked them all. The dancing was fun.
Himani: It was tiring, but fun. I did not stop in any of the dances.
Ritaj: All the dances were funny the way they moved. The first song made the boys look really funny, wiggling their hips.
Lizzie: it was good but the moves were tricky. I didn’t manage all of them.
Daniel: It was good. It was a brilliant end to the week! Two brilliant days in a row: the Chemistry trip and the dancing. Top of my Christmas list will be a Wii!
Emma: It was lovely. I enjoyed the dancing a lot.
Jaya: it was good. I liked ‘Fame’ and ‘Who Let the Dogs Out?’
Nathalia: I think it was really good fun. I liked jumping up and down and wearing my cousin’s dress and shoes.
Lucy: It was really good fun. Hopefully it has made me much fitter. I hope everyone enjoyed it.
